A dairy agricultural seminar at Balamand University
The Agricultural Value Chain Development Center (AVCDC) at the University of Balamand, co-organized a dairy agricultural seminar at the Dekouaneh Campus on the 16th of September 2022, following a series of training sessions which targeted dairy processors and students from different Lebanese universities.
The seminar, which was funded and organized by " Centre National Interprofessionnel de l'Économie Laitière" (CNIEL) and the French Embassy-Beirut, underlined the services of French and local institutions, as well as their professional experience in the dairy agriculture industry.
Prior to the seminar, training sessions were conducted at the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute - Terbol Station, for 20 veterinary and agri culture students from four Lebanese universities; Lebanese University, USEK, USJ, and University of Balamand were carried out from the 13th to the 15th of September at the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (Terbol Station). The sessions provided theoretical and practical perception on small ruminant reproductive techniques and were coached by French reproduction expert, Mr. Olivier Gerard, who was assisted by members of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Center (AVCDC) at UOB.
