AURAK Enters Into an MOU With Al Mizan International L.L.C.
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) President, Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Managing Director of Al Mizan International L.L.C, Kaival Doshi.
AURAK is a public non-profit, independent, coeducation institution accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivering an integrated American-style, undergraduate and graduate education strongly focused on the indigenous culture. Al Mizan is certified and active in providing solar solutions and trading solar equipment in the UAE.
The two institutions agreed to collaborate in information exchange, solar PV installation projects, research, and student internships. They have agreed to exchange information concerning their research, events, products, projects, and training programs; invite the other party to participate in scientific meetings, conferences, workshops, and seminars; and assist one another in organizing scientific conferences, workshops, and specialized seminars. AURAK and Al Mizan will undertake PV installation with AURAK introducing clients to Al Mizan for the installation, commission, and handing over of Photo-Voltaic projects while Al Mizan will comply with keeping its contracts through AURAK. AURAK and Al Mizan will coordinate in joint research proposals and contribute in soliciting internal and external funding for joint research projects. Research results will be published under both institutions, while any inventions, improvements, or discoveries made by one party will remain the property of that party with permission to use the inventions, improvements, or discoveries being granted to the second party. The signing ceremony concluded with an exchange of goodwill gifts and plaques.
Commenting on the University’s latest partnership, Prof. Al Alkim stated, “I look forward to future enterprises with Al Mizan as we now have access to an industry expert in solar PV installation, allowing students yet another opportunity to advance professionally. It is also incredible that through this venture we will be discovering solutions in energy conservation to ensure a brighter tomorrow.”
