zz"After 11 years with IHG, I have made a decision to pursue a new opportunity with DAMAC Properties"

“Started my career with Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) as a training manager in Intercontinental Phoenicia Hotel then Intercontinental Aqaba, and Intercontinental Al Bustan Palace in Muscat. After five years of hard work I was promoted to the Area Training Manager in Oman. In 2011, I moved to the United Arabs of Emirates as the IHG Brand Service Consultant of Europe and Middle East.

After 11 years with IHG, I have made a decision to pursue a new opportunity with DAMAC Properties. DAMAC properties is one of the largest privately held luxury property development companies in the Middle East, based in Dubai. Lately DAMAC is expanding and establishing a new division for hotels under-which several brands will operate in the near future. This is an exciting time to join this company, with the capacity of Group Director of Learning & Development.
My role is to bring all my expertise to establish a winning learning function and culture for the hotels division. Basically, it is all about establishing everything from scratch: culture, service behaviors, sustained training programs, service operating procedures, performance management system... and much more.
I had the greatest learning experience with IHG, but life offers us some unique opportunities, which we need to know how & when to grab them... I owe much of what I had accomplished to the Hospitality and Tourism program at the University of Balamand. The School of THM gave me the necessary foundations and equipped me with the needed tools to succeed in industry. I recommend it to all of you aspiring students to make something of your lives.

I look forward to returning to Lebanon, working in the Hospitality sector, and putting my experience in building the country”.
